To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.

Excerpts from Paul David Tripp’s What Did You Expect? Redeeming the Realities of Marriage:
- Love is being willing to have your life complicated by the needs and struggles of your husband or wife without impatience or anger.
- Love is actively fighting the temptation to be critical and…
Our pain and losses are always a test of how much we treasure the all-wise, all-governing God in comparison to what we have lost… God ordains the hard times to see if good times are our god. Do we love bread, or do we love God? Do we treasure God and trust his good purposes in pain, or do we love his gifts more, and get angry when he takes them away?
When my world is shaking
When my heart is breaking
I never leave Your hands.
When You walked upon the Earth
You healed the broken, lost, and hurt.
I know You hate to see me cry.
One day You will set all things right.
I lay myself at your feet.
I’m asking you to, won’t you meet?
Won’t you meet me?
I cannot do it on my own.
I cannot do it all alone.
Here I am tonight.
With my arms open wide.
Won’t you come inside?
Who is He that makes me happy? Who is He that gives me peace?
You cannot run from him.
You cannot hide from his eyes.
He will not turn away.
Your name is written on his side.
Beloved, beloved, Jesus is patient.
He is so gracious.
The Lord of salvation is mighty to save.
He has compassion for all his children.
So run to the savior, and be saved.
